If you are using a bread bowl, choose one that comes in a round loaf. I have
used Hawaiian, Italian, and even Pretzel loafs before and all of them worked
great, its really what you prefer.
Cut a circle in the center on top of the loaf, and dig out the inner bread in
chucks, be careful not to puncture or tear the sides or bottom of loaf.
Put loaf and bread chucks on a cookie sheet and toast in over at 400ᵒF till
bread is a light golden brown, about 10 mins, but be watchful, no one likes
burnt bread.
Remove bread bowl and bits from oven, and place on a platter.
Place bread bits in a separate serving bowl or around bread bowl if there is enough room.
Fill bread bowl with Spinach Dip and serve.
I usually place small napkins or plates with my bread bowls for easy self-serving.
Enjoy!
This is a simple Spinach dip, no fancy equipment, not crazy ingredients to find and it all goes into one pot. If you want to dress it up for a dinner party or any social gathering, just put it into a toasted bread bowl and use the removed bread from the bowl as a dipping option. I have even used this as a center piece on a Charcuterie board. With its vibrant green color and robust flavor, it will be a hit at any gathering.
